{mosimage}I came across this interesting debate in NDTV recently on a program called "Indian Youth Unplugged". It was just a debate with no conclusions, quite interesting to watch. This blog is my take on the "Indian Parenting". I seriously opine that Indian parenting is truly protective, sometimes over protective than being supportive. I don't mean to say that this is the right / bad way of parenting because I had seen the cases with best & worst of the results. The results depend on how the level of understanding of the parents, to be precise in most of the cases - father. No matter how old any individual is, they are still kids to their parents, but in the eyes of a typical Indian parent even 30 yr old man is a "child". This is the basic reason for Indian parents being over protective.

{mosimage}I always used to say Vaithiyanathan & Bala, my mama (brother-in-law) to start blogging, because these are two guys who are best conversationalists and with beautiful vocabulary, I had ever come across. Not only these two but also I had come across many more people in my life who see things in different yet intresting perspectives. People who look things in a sensitive as well as different way always have more to say to the world. The more you have to say, more you have to express and more expressive you are, more content you have for your blogs. Thats why I always used to tell my friends "YOU SHOULD WRITE BLOGS". Going through my blogs, once Vaithiyanathan asked me whether I had aspirations of becoming a journalist or to run a magazine of my own. What to say?

 

{mosimage}Nobody believes the predictions based on Zodiac signs, yet they are popular. Almost every second magazine, News Paper and web portals offer astrology as a channel, proving their draw among the audience. Do the lunar, solar charts etc. etc.. exist? Are the characteristics of zodiac signs true? Based on my experience I have enough reasons to believe that Zodiac signs hold true to a certain extent. Initially when I observe people, I notice certain characteristics and later correlate with their date of birth, surprisingly most of the time, most of them fall under a similiar pattern. For example I have many Gemini friends (including me) and all of them have a varying taste, prefer lighter friendship, exhibit liveliness and good conversationalist also. Now I try to predict their behaviours by their zodiac signs.

{mosimage}Few days back I came across a "finding" by American researchers that disturbed me very much. It had put forward its findings that "People who always say good things about others suffer from low self esteem". What a shit observation! It is absolutely ridiculous and a piece of trash that never deserved such exposure. What they mean to say? This means people who are picky and have no good opinion about others are supposed to have higher self esteem? Else people who always see the good point in others are supposed to be goofy asses? I seriously don't dignify these kind of "findings" but I fear this might spoil the young minds who come across these findings in their formative years.

{mosimage}You might have come across many people in your life but on retrospect you realise that one particular name might be coming again and again in the form of many individuals for longer part of your life. In my case it was "B..A..L..A..", not directly as Bala, but as the shorter name. Recently when I went to the SAP classes, the guy sitting next to me was Bala @ Balasubramanium. On the evening of the second day of the class, I had a problem with my mobile recharging, I called BSNL Call center, the Customer Support Assistant who answered my queries was... again some "Bala". I was zapped
