I love travelling... infact I wish that I have my feet at every inch of land in the world. That is one reason when I get lost while travelling, I don't feel bad. Instead I feel that "had not this happened, I wouldn't have come to this street, village or road". Very few people understand that craziness. I am a happy traveller but I am most happy when I travel alone.

My niece Dhanya had recently acted in a short film of Girish Sreenivas (, my brother-in-law Bala's friend. This 6 minute short film is about the importance of speaking one's mother tongue properly. I could see that all the culture conscious art works - Short films, stories are coming from the NRI diaspora only. We, back in India, are busy in aping the west, giving justifications to all the misbehaviours in the name of "modernisation", but I personally had seen the NRIs taking their language, art forms (dance, music and drawings) seriously.

Things are completely or diamterically opposite for me here in Melbourne especially in the job front. In India I used to get tonnes of calls from the recruiters and I used to have a tough time in refusing them, whereas here I am running after the recruiters and they are not even giving an audience. Similarly I was often complimented for my resume back in India and the general comment I used to receive was "Your CV gives the story / image of you". Here I am not getting any interview calls, which makes me wonder whether the problem is with my CV or I am being subjected to some kinda racism.
