Sydney has a lot of coastwalk in and around the city. For the nature lovers there is enough to keep engaged on the weekends. You have coastwalks of various difficulty levels right from light to medium to heavy. Prominent coastwalks in the Sydney city are Bondi beach - Cogee beach walk, Manly beach - Spit Bridge coastwalk, walk along the Watson bay. There are a few club for bush walkers who meet and do the trekking. Infact across the state of New South Wales, there are many coastwalks like Minnamurra - Kiama - Werry beach coastwalk which is the most picturesque one. I am sharing some photos of Manly Beach Coast walk which I enjoyed during my stay at Sydney.
Manly is a beach located at 30 minutes ferry drive from the Sydney's Circular Quay Wharf. From Manly beach, the scenic coastwalk shorly called as MSW (Manly Scenic Way) starts with properly guided boards / guideways and goes upto the Spit Bridge in the suburb of Mosman. The beautiful beaches of Fisher Bay, Sandy bay come in the way and the Sydney Harbour's National Park comes along. There are welcoming detours like Arabanoo Lookout which gives the beautiful view of the Sydney City from the jungle and Aboriginal carvings at the Grotto Point. The path proceeds to Castle Rock before reaching the habitat area / suburb at Clantorf Reserve. The path continues for another 2 km and reaches Spit Bridge. The coastwalk takes us through the steep steps and raw narrow paths along making the traveller feel closer to nature.
